Experimental CGI of a decaying digital cityscape with iridescent towers and glitch-like particle effects, creating a chaotic and atmospheric visual.

Cauchemar: Spectral Shapes on Infrared

Sci-fi Music Video Parable, Collaboration With Holy Similaun, DJ YTP, Seraphim, and Ronce

Atmospheric digital art of a dark, spectral nebula with subtle lightning, a moody and abstract cosmic visual with a cinematic feel.

Presented at PAF 2023

A sci-fi parable unfolding as both a music video and a nightmare, Cauchemar follows an exploration probe launched into a vast, Zone-like megastructure—architecture woven by its own exiled inhabitants. The probe becomes the film’s central figure, drifting through derelict immensities and attempting to seize the restless images they emit.

Vibrant and noisy abstract CGI resembling a psychedelic infrared map, a procedural art piece with intense, saturated colors and textures.Moody abstract visualization of a dark, gaseous formation in deep space, a minimalist CGI piece focused on spectral and atmospheric qualities.Surreal 360-degree render of a cosmic scene with an iridescent nebula and distorted stars, an experimental approach to digital environments.Detailed 3D rendering of a translucent, cellular structure with a glowing red core, creating a surreal and organic abstract visual.

In this volatile terrain, vision itself mutates, and the act of optical capture teeters between comprehension and erasure. What emerges is a chimeric meditation on the epistemological ambition to comprehend the world—an ambition haunted by the impossibility of controlling the very knowledge structures we create.

Complex abstract artwork depicting a shattered digital structure, showcasing a chaotic "glitch art" aesthetic with intricate, procedurally generated details.

The collaboration with Holy Similaun, Seraphim, DJ YTP, and Ronce was highly iterative: after receiving the initial rough composition from the musicians, I broke it down into structural anchors that could guide the pacing of the imagery. Using generative 3D systems, I built evolving environments that responded directly to the sound, layering in audio-reactive elements that pulsed, fractured, and swarmed in sync. This approach turned the video into more than an accompaniment—it became a probe itself, struggling to register an overwhelming torrent of signals, where the line between noise and meaning constantly disintegrated.

High-contrast generative art featuring a mix of chaotic, dark brushstrokes and intricate geometric forms, an experimental digital sculpture.
